Abstract
PREFACE: The AHAIC (Africa Health Agenda International Conference) Commission for the State of UHC in Africa was established by Amref Health Africa in November 2020 with the support of Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, as part of the deliberations from AHAIC 2019. The commission serves as an independent body responsible for reviewing Africa’s progress towards UHC and providing recommendations that can accelerate this progress. The commission comprises of 11 global health experts from different countries across the continent, drawing on different disciplines across the health sector.
