The damages caused by disasters cannot be over emphasised; they include loss of life, human suffering, economic instability and destruction of the environment. Individuals, families, communities and nations have had their bigger share of the impact of disasters. It is from this background that the author sought to empower the reader with knowledge about disaster management.
